Glossary
Throughout the course of viewing this website, we use a number of key terms and abbreviations. This page seeks to clarify each term used on the site.
- TVC is an abbreviation of True Vision Church.
- Rev. stands for reverend.
- Pas. stands for pastor.
- First Lady is the title for the pastor’s wife.
- Min. stands for minister.
- Bro. stands for brother (in Christ). In this context, brother refers primarily to those in the church family, but can include non-church members.
- Sis. stands for sister (in Christ). In this context, sister refers primarily to those in the church family, but can include non-church members.
- WEM stands for Women’s Enrichment Ministry.
- AM/a.m./am and PM/p.m./pm are abbreviations denoting time. AM represents time after midnight and before noon. PM represents time after noon and before midnight. However, on this site, we will sometimes represent 12 midnight as “12AM” and 12 noon as “12PM” as the latter terms are more recognizable and more convenient to readers.
- NE stands for northeast, specifically True Vision Church’s Northeast Campus.
- NW stands for northwest, specifically True Vision Church’s Northwest Campus.
